Rambo

Not a Rambo freak or anything like that, ha! I just ran across this a while back, and saved it b/c I liked the range of contrast. It's pretty small, about 4.5x5 inches (11x13cm)

I couldn't really tell what was going on in the photo in his hand area? So I did the best I could.

I've been drawing on Strathmore Bristol Smooth, but their 400 series vs the 300 series, which is thicker. I think the 400 thinner paper is a little harder to get perfectly black areas? Maybe b/c it's thinner and the tooth is harder to crush? Or maybe it crushes too much? Who knows, just a thought...
